Visiting Les...weekend in DC

Our reflection in the wall of Vietnam
The Wall of Vietnam Memorial
The Lincoln Memorial
This was probably my absolute favorite memorial

The kids loved the Smithsonian. The is the Natural History Museum
Our Nations Capital
The White House

As many of you know, Les moved out East temporarily for 18 mos. He accepted a position as project engineer for a joint venture (manroc is one of them) raising the tunnels for the railroad. The kids and I came out to spend the month of August with him before school starts. He is in a great location. 86 miles from DC, 111 miles from Hershey Park, 80+ miles from Gettysburg, 100+ miles to Baltimore and Pittsburgh...and many more great places. We are taking advantage of being out here and doing a ton of site seeing. Our first weekend here, we flew into Dulles, and spent the weekend in DC site seeing. I am so thankful that I was able to share some history with my children.
