1st day of school

Kaleb was so excited that he got to ride the school bus this year. I was so thankful that big sister is now in the 2nd grade...and this is her 3rd year riding the school bus. She was able to help Kaleb find the bus, and give the bus driver his bus ticket. She also now knows her address...and was able to speak up when they called out their bus stop. I don't know if you all remember the traumatic time when Ava was in Kindergarden, and rode the bus for the very first time. Nearly 3 hours later we found her at the bus barn. I will never forget that day.
I can't believe how fast they are growing, and my "baby" has started Kindergarden. My little girl is turning into such a big girl.
1st day if 2nd grade
1st day of Kindergarden
August 24th the kids headed back to school. I was sad to see the summer go so fast. This is probably the fastest summer we have had. We vacationed a lot...going from one coast (Portland) to the other (DC). I am always sad when the kids head back to school. I was also sad that Les missed out on Kaleb's first day of kindergarden, and his first bus ride...but I sent lots of pictures. Kaleb is such a big boy. He didn't balk, or even seem sad for me to leave him there. He gave me a quick kiss, a quick wave, and said, "bye mommy, I love you." He is growing so fast. It helped me to feel less sad about leaving him though, so that was a plus. It was a tiny bit crazy getting both kids to their classes, meeting their teachers, finding their desks, and numbers for their backpacks. I missed having Les there to help me, but we did it. Right in time for the bell to ring. I'm not sure what I am going to do with myself having both babies going to school all day, but I have a list a mile long of things I want to get done around the house...so I guess I can keep myself busy. LOL...mom says I will learn to love it. I guess time will tell.
