Les made us go two hours early...but we got the BEST seat in the shade
It was SO hot...the kids got these umbrella hats
I just loved this one
And of course with Les taking the pictures, he managed to get quite a few of the Redskin cheerleaders. HA HA
Where all our money is held. Or I guess what ever money we have left. :)
I thought this was a beautiful picture with the Washington monument.
We decided since we live so close to DC, to embrace that and take the kids to DC for the 4th of July. In the back of my mind, I thought we were mildly crazy. I mean with the crowds, and the city, and so on and so fourth. Well, we were pleasantly surprised. Yes there were a ton of people, but it was the most organized, free flowing, polite crowd we have ever seen. I mean I had more anxiety going to Laurel with less of a crowd. Everyone was just so happy and go with the flow that it made the experience great. The parade was the best we had ever seen (though it was EXTREMELY hot!)
