100th year of Cherry Blossoms
We were so excited to be flying out East for our nations 100th years of the gift of trees. Unfortunately, the week before we flew out DC had a few days of wind and rain...knocking most of the Cherry blossoms to the ground. We still got to see some in white, and some in pink...but not the spectacle we had been anticipating. We still had fun at the festival where they had great music, food, and many vendors with fun Japanese gifts. We brought back bears for the boys, and purses for the girls made out of Japanese kimono's. The kids had a lot of fun building these boats and racing them. It also was a beautiful weekend.
