New Years Day= Sledding in Red Lodge, MT

Me sending Ava down the hill
Yes, I am as much of a kid as they are....I LOVE sledding
Kaleb got his foot stuck in the snow...Cheryl to the rescue
You can see how deep the snow is. In most parts it was up to our knee, other parts it went up to our hips. The kids had a tough time.

Every year we try to make it a tradition to take the kids sledding on New Years day. This year has been such an odd year. We haven't had hardly any snow. In fact, it's mostly been in the 50's and 60's. Red Lodge (which is about 40-50 miles from Billings), had just gotten pounded. Two days prior to New Years day they received 8 inches of snow. Cheryl Bradley, one of my closest friends called me up a few days before and announced we needed to go sledding. Les was flying out and she knows how devastated me and the kids usually are. I figured the kids would be heart broken, and knew we needed a little distraction. So, we loaded up the kids and set out. We had so much fun, though it was extremely exhausting. The snow was so deep. After sledding, we took the kids to Candy town, then Bogarts for dinner. It was just what we needed.
