Ava and Lily found two snails that they turned into pets. They played with them all day, taking them to the park, pushing them in the stroller....and you guessed it. They didn't survive. These are their graves.

We drove out to Vancouver on July 3rd to spend some time with Les' brother Zack and his family. They live right across the river from Portland. On the 4th, we drove to Seaside and let the kids play on the beach and in the ocean all day. Then we did some tourist shopping when it got chilly and headed back in time for fireworks. It was probably one of the best shows I have ever seen...and even Ava said it was the best 4th of July she ever had. Les' parent flew out on the 6th to visit. She was able to catch two boys in the same state. We loved this family vacation...and loved spending time with Zack's family. Ava and Lily are just two months apart...and they pretty much were unseperable.
