Yesterday was a rough one. Les had taken the day off because it was Ava's very first Christmas program. We were all very excited...Grandma planned to go, and a very good friend "Aunt Jenni" and her daughter Ella had plan on going. We went out and bought a "fancy" dress...and Ava had been working endlessly at school on the songs they were to sing. She insisted it was a secret...so I didn't know what they were doing. Saturday night about midnight Kaleb woke up puking. It carried on through the night, every half hour to forty five minutes. Les took the night shift....I got up at 7 to have Ava tell me her belly hurt. By 8 she was throwing up as well. We have been fortunate enough to not have both kids sick at the same time. Usually one one day...and the other following the next. Les and I had our work cut out for us. It carried on throughout the day...but syncronizing so that I was in the bathroom with one while Les was holding the other over the garbage can. They both managed to crash on Les about 1:00 in the afternoon....to sleep for about 4 hours. (Both waking briefly to either throw up or wimper...and go right back to sleep) I had to take pictures to of course scrapbook this natural disaster of wiping up bodily fluids...and you guessed it...missing our first Christmas program. There were moments I wanted to cry for the babies hurting so bad, and for us not ever being able to get back her being 5 and singing her heart out. I know there will be more to come, but we won't ever get back that first kindergarden concert. By the end of the night, Les and I were both beaten, stinky, and exhausted. The kids are doing much better this morning...but still refusing to eat anything. We kept Ava home from school today even though she is running around. Hopefully....Les and I will remain puke free.
