Build A Bear and Santa

Waiting for Santa...
Ella, Kaleb, and Ava waiting to build their bears

Putting in the hearts

The first 300 children to the mall got to build a bear for Toys For Tots. We got there a little early, and Les was a love to stand in line while Ava and I did a little shopping. 300 bears were to be donated...and the children got to build them. We thankfully were one of the first in line so the wait wasn't too long. Les and I decided to donate as well and we let the kids dress and accessorize the bears they had built. I was really happy that my kids were old enough to understand that some children are too poor to receive toys. They were more than happy to build and dress a "special" bear for a child in need. I let Ava pick out an outfit for her build a bear at home for being so generous. Kaleb really didn't care...he wanted to see "Ho Ho". So then Santa paraded in to pick up the 300 bears. There was hot chocolate and cookies and kids screaming and music....well lets just say that my children were not the only ones that enjoyed the experience. Oh...and Ava was on the news. She batted her eyes at the camera man, and he literally followed her around everywhere. Les made me record it. :)
